Pros

  • Programmable display/controls for one-touch brewing
  • Budget-friendly entry price for the category

Simple, works well

This being the first espresso machine I have ever had/used, it seems pretty simple and straightforward, although I did appreciate the instruction book, because I did have to reference it a couple of times when I couldn't figure out how to (1) change out the "cup" size, and (2) get the wand thing IN to the correct position. This machine works well, heats up really quickly, and the water/coffee comes out boiling hot of the main part, with the steamer steam/water not *as* hot (which is honestly a perk for me because I am clumsy). I do like that it comes with a water tank as well, and that it's pr…

New to espresso and enjoying the adventure

I probably shouldn’t be anywhere near espresso, much less own an espresso machine, but as basic coffee has started to have little impact on my midday sleepiness it is time to try something new. At the advice of a friend, I gave this machine a try and it has been fun learning how the device functions and how I like my espresso. While shopping for and experimenting with beans has been its own adventure, the machine is actually pretty straightforward in terms of parts and functioning. I read the instructions twice and then had my former friend (a former barista) come over to walk me through the s…

No More Coffee Shop Runs

No More Coffee Shop Runs I’ve been wanting an espresso maker for a while, so I finally decided to try this one and I absolutely love it. It’s a simple, basic espresso maker, which is exactly what I wanted. Setup was simple, and it was much easier to use than I expected for my first espresso machine. It comes with a large instruction booklet that explains everything and walks you right through it. It’s about the size of a regular coffee maker, so it fits nicely on the counter without taking up too much space. It has a nice sturdy feel to it, and the black and stainless steel looks really nice. …

Solid expressor machine with multiple features and nice display

I don't drink expresso often but wanted to try a home machine. This 20 bar espresso machine is a great addition for anyone who enjoys making coffeehouse style drinks at home without having to leave or pay over $10 a cup. It has a nice combination of features without being overly complicated, and the machine has a solid feel to it. Despite being less expensive, it functions well without leaking at any of the key areas, and it seems to be able to last for a long time. It’s great for making espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and other favorite coffee drinks. The pressure provides a nice espresso extr…

A very basic machine than technically makes espresso, but there are better options available

I found this expresso machine to be a little disappointing honestly. I'm getting zero foam production from it and the coffee just isn't getting the same rich flavor I get from my machine at work. My number one complaint is the size - its a squat little machine that is very restrictive in the size of cup you can use. Yes, espresso cups are small, but what if you're making a latte or americano?
